Mixed media artworks by Virag

Hi Crafty Scrapiniec Fans!

In the last few weeks I made some new artworks.
The first one is an unusual Christmas card. I used a paper bag as a base.
The Flowers of Winter collection fits perfectly for the composition itself.
Here is the card cover:

And here are the inner pages:

I will have a mixed media workshop between Christmas and New Years Eve. The participants asked me to prepare one of my older projects. I used an XL size wings from Steampunk Flying Hearts collection:

I also used this collection for an altered brush. But I also add elements from Monograce and Park Avenue collections:

I hope you like my projects. :)
Thank you for stopping by...

I wish you a Merry Christmas filled with happiness and craft activities also. ;)
Have a wonderful New Year!

Hugs,

Merry Christmas from Padoriaa

Witajcie. Długo mnie tutaj nie było. Przepraszam Was najmocniej. Czasem potrzebujemy przerwy by nabrać dystansu. Wracam więc tuż przed Świętami Bożego Narodzenia by życzyć Wam przede wszystkim spokoju. Moje noworoczne postanowienie to tworzyć więcej i zapraszać Was na warsztaty by wspólnie dzielić się pasją. Mam nadzieję, że ktoś z Was ucieszy się z tej informacji. Pozdrawiam Was serdecznie, Paulina

Hello! I haven't been here for so long! I'm really sorry. Sometimes we need a break to think, relax and breathe. So I come back just before Christmas to wish you peace above all. My New Year's wish is to create more and invite you to the workshops to share the passion. I hope that some of you will enjoy this information. Best wishes, Paulina

Wracam do Was niebawem z nowymi projektami. Na moim biurku czeka ogrom nowych tekturek do wykorzystania. Do usłyszenia! Paulina

Welcome sign video tutorial with Anat

Hey crafty friends!
Anat here! Holidays season is almost here and we all want to decorate and embellish our homes, right?! So today I will show you, step by step, how to alter a "Welcome " wooden sign. I made it colorful and snowy, watch the video tutorial to see how I created it.

Let's start...

Basic Process

  1. I started by adhering pieces of joint tape, it adds such a gorgeous texture!
  2. Then I primed the sign with White Heavy Gesso.
  3. Next I added, here and there, white crackle paste.
  4. After drying and cracking I've added some stamping with Versa Mark ink and Queen Sheba's Silver Embossing Powder
  5. Now to the fun part - adding color -  I added 3 sprays: Marigold Yellow OrangeOpen Arms Amethyst and Oh Canada Crimson Squirt
  6. While the sign is drying I treated some beuatiful chipboards with paints I made of white heavy gesso and Magical shakers: Cuckoo Clock Cardinal , Cowabunga CopperGrab a Guy GoldTime Travel Teal and Guten Tag Teal
  7. Next, I added to the chipboards some color with Embossing powders: Okktoberfest OrangeTilt-a-Wheel TealKing Midas GoldHolly Hock Scarlet Plum
  8. To make the Sign more interesting I added a layer of dry brush with the paint I made of gesso and Time Travel Teal + Guten Tag Teal
  9. I glued all chipboards on my piece and added the snowy look using Purley white Embossing powder
  10. I made my own embellishments with art pebbles: covered them with clear gesso and brushed them with Time Travel Teal and Grab a Guy Gold
